Hi everyone I am Ms. Ansari and I am a third grade teacher here at MMSA. I am from Burnsville, Minnesota and grew up mostly in Burnsville. However, I was fortunate enough to get to live in the Philippines for a year. I graduated from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities where I received my teaching degree. I always knew I wanted to work with kids. I had two nieces growing up that were more like little sisters. I always wished I was much older and educated about children when I would take care of them. When I got into the teaching program, I was more driven to teach when I learned about the injustices within the system. Now it is my goal to make sure every student has the opportunity to succeed regardless of race, gender, religion, etc. My favorite part about being a teacher is getting to know all the students. Since I was the Library teacher, I love walking in the halls and talking to the students in any grade. This year I am looking forward to being a classroom teacher and focusing on growth, equity, SEL, and academics. These are very important pillars to life. As a member of the MMSA family I like how fun the kids are. They are all so different and bring life to the classroom in their own way. I cannot wait to see them grow this year!
